Hello !
Welcome to the Clarinet Mentors newsletter. I hope that new members, and long-time members enjoy the clarinet news that I share here with all of you!
I wish everyone in the Clarinet Mentors community a very happy holiday season, whatever traditions you follow! I am visiting family in many places over the next two weeks, and finally enjoying a bit of a break after lots of concerts in December.
I realize that my newsletter comes a bit late, and I hope to get back on schedule again in 2015. For now, I hope you enjoy the Christmas Clarinet "Name That Tune" video in this newsletter. I usually mail cards to many people in my life, and this year, life was just too crazy to sit and get the pen to paper. For now, please accept my warmest wishes to all of you in this electronic greeting.
By the way, thanks for all of the Thanksgiving messages that many of you sent my way. Congratulations to Carol W. who is the winner of a Skype clarinet lesson with me in the new year.
Thanks so much for being part of my Clarinet Community. I hope that you enjoy your clarinet this week!
A Clarinet Christmas - Can you name all 10 tunes?
|
Just for fun, and as part of my musical Christmas greeting to you, I invite you to watch this short video which challenges you to name the tunes involved. Some are easy, and some are only hinted at. Perhaps I'll come up with a fun prize for whoever is first to identify all 10 tunes.
Free Training - Some Common Clarinet Bad Habits, and How You Can Fix Them
|
From time to time I "rerun" videos that I think are worth a repeat viewing. This one covers some common bad habits that we all fall into, and serves as a good reminder of things that we can easily correct as we slip off track. Even if you watched this before, I recommend that you watch again and examine your own set of habits.
Michelle Recommends: Great Clarinet Prizes if you act quickly - Backun Musical 12 Days of Christmas

Backun Musical has been continuing their fun tradition of giving away great clarinet prizes for the 12 Days of Christmas. Only today and tomorrow left, but there is still time to win some great prizes. Check it out at:

How To Solve Your Common Clarinet Frustrations and Play Clarinet More Easily
I firmly believe that if anyone has the "recipe" for how to play clarinet, things are really relatively easy to do. Most of our frustrations come from inadvertently learning bad habits along the way. With that in mind, I have created for you a 10-lesson comprehensive course for beginners (and self-taught intermediate players) that gives you the tools to truly learn the clarinet easily, while avoiding all of the most common frustrations that can plague us. I believe that these lessons can save you hours of grief by giving you the best practise systems that have worked for thousands of clarinetists. The lessons have great content, and are presented in a video format so that you can watch them again and again. If you would like to play with more ease and have a clear understanding of the fundamentals of clarinet playing, you can get more information on the Clarinet Is Easy course here (including some free preview videos):

If you are curious about this, you can try these lessons with a 100% 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee. (That means that you can try a full 5 lessons before you decide if you have received great value from the course.) If it is not the right style for you, you get your tuition refunded, no problem. I invite you to try it now! Many students have received amazing results so far from this course (and you can read their comments on the order page).
